Grilled Tomato, Smoked Turkey, and Muenster Sandwich

ingredients
- 1 tablespoon minced red onion
- 3 tablespoons nonfat sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme or 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 4 teaspoons butter, softened
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 6 slices fat-free honey roasted turkey breast
- 4 slices tomatoes
- 2 slices muenster cheese
directions
- Combine the first 4 ingredients in a bowl.
- Spread 1 teaspoon butter on one side of each bread slice. Spread 2 tablespoons mustard mixture over unbuttered side of each of 2 bread slices; top each with 3 turkey slices, 2 tomato slices, 1 cheese slice, and 1 bread slice (with buttered side out).
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. Add the sandwiches; cover and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Oh my gosh, these sandwiches are wonderful! They taste like something from a specialty cafe that we would spend a lot of money on. I did not add the red onion to the mustard mixture because DH is not fond of it but the onion would be a nice addition. The thyme adds a very fresh flavor to the sandwich and the cheese melted is creamy and mild. Redsie thank you so much for posting, will definitely be making this one again!

These were outstanding.... The combination of flavors when you took that first bite was amazing, and to think this is healthy for you.....I'm not a big dijon mustard eater, but mixed with the sour cream it wasn't as strong and was perfect for this sandwich.... My DS was asking, "Can I have another sandwich please"? Thanks so much for posting....

Canadian girl that loves to cook for herself and for everyone around her!! I always enjoyed cooking but more so since I started taking better care of myself by eating healthier food (I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime member!). I still love my chocolate though!
