  1. Love sweet potatoes and this is very similar to the recipe we use for Thanksgiving. Did start out with only one cup of brown sugar and that worked for us. The orange and nutmeg flavors I really liked with the sweet potatoes. Keeping this recipe in my favorites! Thanks so much weekend cooker for the yummy recipe. 2. A nice side dish to prepare that comes together very easily and efficiently by using the crock pot. I do not like canned sweet potatoes (find them way too soft) so I micro-cooked large cubed sweet potatoes first before placing in the slow cooker (this does not affect the recipe rating just a personal preference with texture) but I did reduce the brown sugar as 2 cups just seemed like too much overall. I loved that the orange flavor did show through at the end. Served with baked chicken during our Easter supper. Thanks. Tagged in 123 Hits.

  3. These were tasty, subtley spiced, sweet potatoes. We enjoyed them but found them to be very sweet. The soft tender texture was excellent. I loved that you could taste the orange juice in the potatoes themselves. Thanks for sharing your recipe weekend cooker

  5. OMg.... another sweet potato, weekender. I was going to use fresh taters, but stuck with you on this one, so glad I did. OU and brown sugar were a nice addition. Delish and sooooooooooooeasy. Made for newest. Sorry no pic.
