I had company over so I made this recipe and Recipe#411588#411588. Both were very good and yet a little different. I followed your recipe (only it didn't say what to do with the bacon after frying and taking out) so I saved it and topped a salad with it and blue-cheese dressing. Of course, it would have been yummy in the stew for more flavor. I didn't have rutabaga so I didn't add that but followed the rest of the recipe. (Oh yes, I did add garlic...always do.) Will make this again only I might add some herbs for more seasoning. Thank you! Made for New Kids on the Block Tag game. P.S. Also served with garlic bread...delicious meal.
