1/2 gallon
ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup concentrated all purpose cleaner (eg Mr Clean, PineSol, Lysol)
- 1 cup rubbing alcohol
- 6 1⁄2 cups water
directions
- Put the ingredients in a half gallon container.
- Shake.
- Put in a spray bottle.
- Use daily.

I love this cleaner and have been using it since I first printed it out in 2007. It's so cheap to make and so we keep a spray bottle in both bathrooms. It keeps the tile and grout mold free and also the shower doors. Note: It does not contain vinegar so disregard the review from thesu aug 14, '04. -
I tried this and it works great. By the way....I didn't see any vinegar in the recipe so I don't know how the other rater could say the vinegar smell was awful. -
I sprayed this on my walls, shower curtain, and chrome for a month, and there was no improvement at all. In fact, I think it made my shower dirtier. I now have mildew where I never had it before, and it clouds the chrome. Plus, the vinegar smell is awful. -
To answer someone's question as to why this couldn't be used on fiberglass. I always thought that fiberglass is "sensitive" to certain cleaning products. I don't have fiberglass, just ceramic tile, so rather than "chance" someone's fiberglass getting damaged or ruined, I put in the do not use on fiberglass. HTH -
WOW! This is AMAZING! It REALLY works, almost like magic! I quartered this recipe and made this as soon as I saw it. I used JIF for the all-purpose cleaner and I can swear, JIF is the best cleaning stuff in Oman! I've used this easy mix on my bathroom tiles and they not just look sparkling clean now, but also smell incredibly good! Thanks a TONNE!
