  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 12 cups dry breadcrumbs
  • 14 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

directions

  • Season chops and dredge in flour.
  • beat egg and mix with water.
  • dip chops in egg and dredge in breadcrumbs.
  • fry in oil and butter.

  1. DH usually likes his chops pan fried with just pepper, but he really liked these. The coating wasn't over whelming (the reason DH likes just pan fried) and the chops were moist and yummy. So easy to prepare too. I put the pepper and flour in one paper sack and the breadcrumbs in another and just shook to coat the chops. The egg is essential in keeping the breadcrumb mixture on the chops. I've already added this to my keeper file.
     
  2. Simple and tasty way to do chops. I do use cracker crumbs, and sometimes even add grated Romano cheese and fresh chopped parsley just for a variety.
