Copycat Lawry's Seasoned Salt

"This is an MSG-free copycat recipe for Lawry's Seasoned Salt. (Found it on the Web while searching for something else; haven't tried it myself.)"

• Ingredients: 7
• Yields: 1 spice bottle

ingredients

• 2 tablespoons salt
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄4 teaspoon turmeric
• 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon cornstarch

directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
2. Pour the blend into an empty spice bottle to store.

I don't know what Lawry's salt is supposed to taste like, but I thought this was really good. I was making a recipe that called for Lawry's, and I didn't have any, so was really glad your recipe was here! Thanks!

DELISH!<br/><br/>I doubled up on the garlic powder because I didn't have any onion powder. The husband said it was a little sweet, so when I made it again, I only used half the sugar (used 3/4 the sugar for the double batch).

This tastes JUST like Lawry's salt, even without the onion powder and cornstarch (which I did not have on hand). Delicious on steak!
