directions

  • First, choose whether you ant to use a pinecone, a paper lunch bag, or a toilet paper roll. Then follow the below directions for the one you choose.
  • Pinecone:

  • Cut carrot into thin slices.
  • Stick the slices in the pinecone "grooves".
  • Also stick raisins in some of the "grooves" where carrot slices just don't fit.
  • Lunch Bad.
  • Make about 2-4 handfuls (depending on bag's size) of TIMOTY hay into a "plate" shape.
  • Break a carrot or 2 into a few medium sized pieces and put them in the middle of the hay.
  • You can also include uncooked oatmeal or raisins.
  • Toilet Paper Roll.
  • Make this the same way as the lunch bg but on a smaller scale.
  • OR:

  • Just stuff with TIMOTHY hay.
  • ENJOY!

  1. this is great. i used it for my guinea pigs and they loved it. great idea. i wanted to use the pinecone but i didnt because im afraid theyll eat it. they eat absolutely everything.

  2. I'm always on the lookout for fun, healthy ways to entertain Bunneh and this serves the dual purpose of addressing nutrition needs as well. I stuffed a paper towel roll with Timothy hay and raisins and my little boy enjoyed the diversion. Thanks for the great ideas, jerseagrl!

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

Although I'm currently only in my teens, I have a great fondness for cooking. Desserts are my favorite dishes to make, but I do like to prepare many meals as well. I'm famous for my oatmeal cookies (don't tell, but the recipe comes from the Quaker Oatmeal box lid ^_^) and my weird-but-wonderful taste for unique ingredients and unusual ingredients (especially in recipes such as pumpkin banana froth, found here on Recipie Zaar.) Also, I am a proud vegetarian and a staunch supporter of the benefits of "power health foods" such as whole grain breads, flax seed, et cetera.
