directions

  • mix all dry ingredients.
  • mix in the margarine with a pastery mixer.
  • mix the wet ingredients together then mix into the dry/margarine mixture.
  • pour into pans and top with walnuts.
  • bake at 350 for 1hr or until browned.

  1. Really nice bread, with a very pretty colour thanks to the berries. Made a double batch to use up some bananas as well as some raspberries. Didn't have quite enough raspberries for two loaves, so made up for it with frozen blueberries. Took a loaf to work today and it got rave reviews from everyone who tried it (not bad considering I work in a commercial kitchen with a bunch of foodies!).
     
  2. This recipe was a winner...very, very moist...Everyone loved it and they are all begging for more!!! I used fresh strawberries and 1/2 cup of walnuts. The texture of this bread was outstanding and it was easier than I expected. Thanks for the recipe, Deb!
