My mother-in-law made this for dinner one night and I just had to have the recipe. It made the most tender London Broil. Plan to marinate overnight. Prep time includes marinating time.
- 236.59 ml soy sauce
- 236.59 ml teriyaki sauce
- 236.59 ml Coke
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 clove garlic, chopped
- 9.85 ml fresh ginger, chopped
- Combine marinade ingredients and pour into a large zippered freezer bag.
- Pierce london broil several times with sharp fork and place in bag with marinade.
- Refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours.
- Grill for 10 to 15 minutes per side or according to desired doneness.
Using light soy sauce was a great idea and didn't compromise the taste. Nice way to tenderize those tougher cuts of meat like Top Of The Round and London Broil!
Yummy & Easy. great with the jalapeno in it. I I grilled this up tonight and was apprehensive about using london broil but it was tender and flavorfull. Thanks
I was slightly disappointed with this marinade. I expected it to taste better based on the other reviews. It was a bit too salty and not sweet enough for my taste. I suspected it might be too salty ,considering the large amount of teriyaki and soy but I went against my better judgement and made it anyway. It wasn't tender as everyone said either. I'll keep looking for a better marinade. I will say I thought the leftovers tasted better the next day, than the first night we grilled it. I found it unusual to use soy and teryaki-what's the reasoning behind using both? I'm surprised no one else found the meat salty. I wouldn't dare use this marinade on an expensive cut of steak-it would overpower it. I might play with this and just use teriyaki , not soy and add brown sugar , not Coke.
