This ingenius concoction works and tastes just great. I used it for my yummy Strawberries Dipped in Sour Cream and Brown Sugar and there was only a slight noticeable difference in taste. I always use the dense, blackstrap molasses which added a slight anise taste, but if a milder molasses is used, the result should be even better. I plan on making some ginger cookies with this subsitute and feel pretty certain that it will work just fine. Thanks for finding or creating this Leta!!

Directions

  1. Mix Splenda with molasses, stirring with a fork until well mixed and then further mixing with fingertips until it is of a brown sugar consistency.
  2. Measure and use as you would brown sugar.
  3. (24 grams Carb in 1 cup Splenda; 16 grams Carb in 1 Tbls molasses= 40 grams Carb per 1 cup brown sugar substitute).
