I'm not sick (knock on wood) but am really, really TIRED so I made this up to relax. It worked...I'm off to bed now. Made for Cooking with an Asian Accent photo event 3/09. I did add sugar. :) Thank you!

So far, I have been fortunate not to become ill this winter, so I cannot speak to the efficacy of this treatment. I tried it because I tend to have a lot of sinus drainage; at the end of the day I do not feel clogged up. I drank this straight (that is, without sugar), and it tasted somewhat bitter. I am so accustomed to adding sugar to my tea, even though my doctor swears I must lay off! Thanks for posting this recipe, Sharon, I'll try it again if I come down with a cold. Made for Photo Tag.

I just wanted to thank you for this recipe. I have been fighting off a cold for the past week or two. Everyone in my house including my fiance has had it in the time I've been trying to avoid getting it - but now I think it's safe to say that I've actually got the bug. I just brewed up a batch of your cold tamer tea and am sipping on the first soothing mugful as I write this. I had to cheat a little bit because I didn't have loose herbs on hand, but I did have chamomile tea, green tea with mint, lemon tea, and ginger tea, so I used 1 of each of those, plus 1 cinnamon stick and 2 large slices of candied ginger. This is a nice dark tea, which is my preference. I am now going to retire from the computer, grab a nice cozy magic bag, and curl up with a blanket in the recliner while I enjoy the rest of my (your) tea!
