Awful Potatoes

"We called them Awful Potatoes in the hopes that others wouldn't try them and there would be more left for us. Unfortunately, everyone in the family is on to us and digs right in."

  1. These awful potatoes sure did taste awful, good that is! I didn't use as much sour cream as called for, and used lite cream cheese. My son loved them, thanks for posting. =)

  2. I made these for a dinner party recently. They were a huge hit. I had NO leftovers. I added some minced garlic and whipping cream as well. YUMMY!!!

  4. This is an absolutely wonderful recipe! It is very flavorful and easy to make. It is a definite keeper! (I tried it using coarse ground garlic salt with parsley, butter, 1/4 c cream and 1/2 c parmesan.)

Tweaks

  1. This was a fantastic dish, easy to make. I substituted garlic powder for the garlic salt, that is just a personal preference however. There was not a bite left in the pan. Fantastic recipe that will be added to my everyday collection.

  2. Excellent recipe!!! I made this with the pork chops merlot recipe posted. Everyone loved me that night!!! This is a great recipe to make if you have company coming over. I just used fresh garlic instead of garlic salt.
