  1. Since I'm not usually big on using ice cubes in smoothies, I did leave them out, but did use a couple of frozen bananas for the frosty chill that we enjoy! The banana/apple combo made for a great smoothie! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed as a THANK YOU for playing with us in Please Review My Recipe during the recent tour]

  2. I loved it. Taste like Apple pie and so refreshing.

  3. I made this for my family and while it was good they just couldn't get used to the consistency. The flavor is just like an apple pie, really good. Thank you for sharing with us.

  4. Pretty good way to start the day! I did skip the sugar and I didn't miss it. I did use an apple in place of the juice keeping the sugar down yet. This makes a very large smoothie enough for two. I topped with ground cardamom. Thanks.

  5. I sorta liked this recipe, it did not have enough apple and was like drinking milk:(

Tweaks

  1. What a fabulous smoothie...snack...dessert...it certainly tastes good enough to be a dessert! My son asked if we could make an apple smoothie and this is the one we chose. I'm so glad! We used 2 small gala apples in place of the applesauce. I peeled one and left the other unpeeled and it didn't bother either of us. I won't peel the 2nd one next time, just for some added health benefit. Wouldn't change the spices at all. Oh, and our vanilla yogurt was low-fat instead of fat free, but I'll get fat free next time. Thanks!!!!

  2. Wow, this really did taste like apple pie, I used apple cider in place of juice and left out the sweetner, this made one very large serving or 2 smaller servings. I must admit I felt a bit strange drinking this, I felt like with the taste it was something I should have been spooning out of a bowl. Very nice for something different.
