DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Melt margarine in saucepan.
  • Combine oats, flour and sugar.
  • Add melted margarine to dry mixture.
  • Cook the dates, water and salt in a saucepan until the water is evaporated. Stirring frequently.
  • Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 greased pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Spread date mixture and then press the rest of the oat mixture on top.
  • Bake 20 minutes.
