  • In a large mixer bowl, beat the shortening and butter or margarine with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda; beat until combined. Beat in the eggs, vanilla and melted chocolate,
  • Beat in cocoa powder and as much of the flour as you can with the mixer, Stir in any remaining flour with a wooden spoon. Stir in the semisweet chocolate, white baking bar, or white baking pieces.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons of dough 2-inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets,
  • Bake in a preheated 375F oven for 8-10 minutes, or till tops look dry,
  • Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute; remove cookies and cool on wire racks.

  1. These are SO good! I don't know anyone who wouldn't love these. I even went one step further and added bits of a Easter Bunny that no one was going to eat so it turned out to be Quad. Choco. Cookies.

Her sweets are fantastics, especially her pound cakes, Yummm <br> <br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
