- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
- 1⁄2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional... but not really ,)

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over medium low heat.
- Once melted, remove from heat. Stir in eggs, sugar and vanilla.
- Stir in flour, nuts and chocolate chips JUST until combined. You don't want to over-mix or you could get tough brownies.
- Pour batter into greased baking dish and spread into an even layer. Bake for 24min. Cool on a wire rack then dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
