Ma Hey's Christmas Ribs

"My wife's family has a tradition of having ribs for Christmas eve dinner which I initially thought was strange. Now...after 30 odd years I look forward to them ever time now. Wanted to share this recipe as well as capture it for posterity."

• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 12 thick country-style pork ribs
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon yellow mustard powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon chili powder
• 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1⁄4 cup vinegar
• 1 cup tomato juice
• 1⁄2 cup water

directions

1. Bake ribs uncovered @ 450 for 30 mins.
2. Mix remaining ingredients in a sauce pan for the sauce.
3. Simmer sauce for 15 mins.
4. Pour sauce over ribs and bake @ 325 for 2 1/2 hours basted every 30 mins.
5. Serve with sauce.
6. Enjoy!
