  • Preheat to 400.
  • Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
  • Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Roll into balls.
  • Mix 2 T sugar and 2 t cinnamon. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar.
  • Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned but still soft.
