ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
directions
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Heat on low until hot.
- Spread on pizza crust (homemade or Boboli variety) and enjoy!

This sauce is amazing. Most pizza sauces taste, to me, like spaghetti sauce, but this side-steps that altogether. My friend and armchair food critic took a very doubtful bite and exclaimed, "Oh, wow, this tastes like REAL pizza!" It does indeed, distinct from spaghetti. Such simple ingredients, too. I always have them on hand. Thanks! -
Wow this was so easy to make. I will never buy pizza sauce again. I made this exactly as written other then I doubled the recipe. I made this for freezer tag 2008 so I froze this after making and letting it cool. When I was ready to use, I pulled from the freezer and thawed in the microwave. So easy and tasty.

How is something that start with a can of tomato sauce from "scratch?" I was looking for something to do with a surplus of fresh ripe tomatoes. Now that's from scratch!
