We created this pie for the holiday season—it’s a little boozy, like egg nog, and has a classic holiday spice profile. It is officially the first pie with a crumb crust that we served in the pie shop, so it’s got some claim to fame. In case you’re curious, Egg ’n’ Grogg is taken from the origins of the name “eggnog”—egg being the custardy cream, and nog (or grogg) the spirit pairing.
