  • 2 lbs ground beef, browned and drained
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 (32 ounce) package frozen southern hash browns
  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 12 cups milk
  • 1 12 cups shredded cheese (Colby Jack, cheddar, etc)

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brown ground beef in a 12 inch skillet, season to taste with salt and pepper; set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Set aside.
  • Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non stick spray.
  • Layer in the pan half the beef, half the hash browns, half the soup mixture and half the cheese. Repeat.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remover foil and bake another 30 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
  • Allow it to sit for 10 minutes, then cut and serve.
