Cracked Canoe Danish Fondue

- 4 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 1 cup Spanish onion, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cracked canoe lager beer
- 1 cup havarti cheese, grated
- 1 cup gouda cheese, grated
directions
- Place a medium saucepot over medium heat and add the chopped bacon.
- Render the fat from the bacon, crisping it gently.
- Add onions to sauté and the butter to melt and brown slightly.
- Now add the flour and stir to combine and make a smooth roux.
- Add the beer a little at a time, whisking to ensure that no lumps form.
- Add the grated cheese until melted, transfer to a fondue pot and serve with crusty bread and sweet and sour gherkins - so delicious!

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
