"Another recipe from Strictly Thrifty Menus using Bisquick. Double chocolate cookies- both flavored and iced with chocolate."

• Yields: 4 dozen
• Serves: 8-12

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 tablespoons water
• 2 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
• 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
• 1 cup chopped nuts

• Quick Chocolate Frosting

• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1⁄4 cup cocoa
• 2 -3 tablespoons water

directions

1. Heat oven to 350*.
2. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla, water and chocolate. Stir in 2 cups baking mix and nuts.
3. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
4. Bake 15 minutes. Cool and frost with Quick Chocolate Frosting.

6. Blend powdered sugar, cocoa and 2-3 Tblsp. of water.
