  1. This is only the 2nd mug cake recipe I've tried and I'm not trying any others. I've already scooped out multiple batches of the dry ingredients into baggies for even quicker gluttony. The first was perfect, the second was perfect and the 3rd I let sit in the microwave while I did dishes and then got it and it was dried out, so either I cooked it too long or it didn't like waiting to be eaten. Either way, this recipe is great! moist. yum.

  2. I was so excited when I saw how easy this recipe was. I've never tried a mug cake before, not even baking a cake, so I was worried I'd fail at this. But with the positive reviews I figured why not. This recipe was very east to put together, the only thing is that I forgot the milk and realized after my cake was done. It tasted delicious without it though and was still moist, but next time I will add it! I did add 1 piece of ghirardelli 60% chocolate since that's all I had on me, but the taste was a bit too bitter, so next time I will maybe add some milk chocolate to see how it tastes. I also substituted coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil in hopes to making this dessert healthier. Overall I love this recipe, and will defiantly save it for those late nights when I'm craving something sweet!!

  3. Very delicious recipe! Super easy to make and the moist consisntency is perfect. I used a dark chocolate powder, resulting in a VERY dangerous cake! Going to be hard to keep from sneaking into the kitchen in the middle of the night for my late-night chocolate cravings to quickly make this cake-will DEFINITELY make this again!!

  4. I'm not sure if I'm glad I found this recipe. It's a little too quick, a little too good and a little too easy. I was out of oil so I used butter instead. I sprinkled the warm cake with white chocolate chips. Soooo good! Thanks for posting.

  5. Just made this tonight, after realizing that I had some leftover cake icing but not enough to make a cake--this was perfect! Came out better than some microwave cakes I've had, and was perfect as an impromptu dessert.

Ok, I'm a writer, mother of 2, 9 and 1, lol, married. I live in the upper midwest, and am currently a stay at home mom. I LOVE to bake, and I like to cook. I like all kinds of food, and will try almost anything at least once. My husband is diabetic and the picky eater in our family, so I usually modify most recipes to exclude tomato chunks and peppers, but am looking for good full of protien meals that he will eat. But given a good idea, I'm willing to work with it so my family will eat it!
