Cheesy Olive Garlic Bread

"I love Muffeletta mix.It comes in a jar and it is a mix of different olives, onions and peppers. It is more like a Olive Salad. Just ask your grocer. I tried Lexies Patio Bread and it was wonderful. I thought why not the Olive Muffeletta Mix. So I tried it and my DH loved it. I put a slice of bacon on one half, he loved the flavour. Use the bacon for your own preference."

 1. This bread went "poof" as soon as I put it out. I left off the bacon and used low fat mayo. I had a jar of olive salad from New Orleans that works very well. Great on a buffet.

 2. Very tasty & cheesy!! I happened to have a little bit of homemade olive spread leftover from making muffalettas, so I used it up in this. Served with some shrimp pasta & salad. Great side dish or appetizer!

 3. I doubled this and put it on a pizza base and it was delicious. I was really scared it would be too salty but not at all - it was tres wonderful. I had just bought the olive spread a couple of days ago so this recipe was incredibly timely.

 4. I have died and gone to heaven! I left out the bacon, and used cheddar since I had no moz. Grated fresh garlic instead of powder. Minced onion, fresh, instead of powder. I used Trader Joe's muffeletta mix in the small jar. This is a great recipe! Thank you for posting it!

I live in Louisiana and love all the southern foods. I love to fish, read, play pool, ride horses, and of course cook. I love to collect cookbooks of all kinds. This is one of many wonderful gifts that I got from my mom.

My children are grown and my husband works off, therefore I cook for myself, my 2 dogs, Buddy and Missy, and my African Grey, Shady.

I have 4 wonderful grandchildren,Haley, Mariah and Kodie Grace and finally a new grandson Tuff .
I enjoy trying new recipes and try them out on my family and friends.

My health hasn't been good for awhile, so I have spent a lot of the time at home, not doing the things that I like to do. I am not one to sit or lay around. I haven't been able to stand for long periods of time and have been in a funk. I have just hopefully went through my last surgery and I can get back to walking, doing yard work and cooking for my family.
