Absolutely awesome! Just got through with dinner...I made canelloni and topped them with this sauce and my hubby looooooved the sauce! he says its better than the normal marinara sauce we usually buy. Only made one small change....instead of canned tomato sauce, I used 5 oven roasted tomatos (I just put 5 Roma tomatos in a cookie sheet in the oven and then pureed them). Grrrrrrreat!

After reading multiple recipes on making marinara, I wasn’t convinced this was the one..but it was!! No more jar pasta sauces in this house, and a great base to explore with. I doubled the recipe, for use with pasta and also meatballs separately. I used I can tomato sauce, and 1 can crushed tomatoes for texture..just added a few fresh basil leaves at the end as it cooled, delish! My picky granddaughter gobbled this up, and it also makes great meatball sandwiches (competition for subway) next day.

This was sooooo easy all I had to do was chop up the onion and garlic (if you have a slap chop, USE IT) brow that the poured the tomato sauce in and let my little brother help. He loved to stir and when we tasted it he said that is was one the best marinara sauce ever. We had ZERO leftovers. 10/10 would recommend.
