Along with her husband, Douglas Fairbanks, the golden-haired Mary Pickford was at the pinnacle of the first generation of movie royalty. This 1920s Cuban concoction does her honor. http://www.prohibitionrepeal.com/history/cocktails.asp
- 1 1⁄2 ounces white rum
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- 1⁄2 teaspoon grenadine
- Stir well with cracked ice.
- Strain into chilled cocktail glass and drop in a maraschino cherry.
Very tasty! I increased the amount of pineapple juice and it was perfect for my taste. I think this would be great using coconut flavored rum. Thanks so much, Jess4Freedom : )
Great drink! I used white rum and also tried coconut rum and both were delicious. Sweet, smooth and tropical - thanks for sharing this recipe!
Very good, plus it is very pleasing to look at, especially during the holiday season! I used dark rum since that is what I had, and it didn't seem to upset the balance of flavor. Made for Everyday is a Holiday tag.
