My daughters favorite.
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream (I use vanilla) or 2 cups chocolate ice cream (I use vanilla)
- 1 cup milk
- 6 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- Put all the ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve in tall glasses with a straw.
I have sick children at home and they requested basic chocolate milk shakes "made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup" so this fit the bill. I used low fat vanilla bean ice cream, skim milk, and hershey's syrup. We felt this was a little too thin so I added another huge scoop of ice cream. I also think I'd cut back to about 4 tablespoons of syrup next time as my kids (gasp!) thought this was a little too sweet. I appreciate the fact that it was just what I was looking for, and will definitely make this again with some minor tweaks for our preferences. Thanks.
