@Texas Pearl
I'm a Mom of 2, married to a great guy who loves my cooking. I have one High Schooler and a 4th grader, and they all love to bring their friends home to eat. That suits me just fine! It's the best way to get to know your children's friends, and your kids will appreciate it more than you know. Favorite cookbooks? Joy of Cooking(the old standby) a World of Breads by D. Casela (from the 60's but worth the hunt) Southern Living, and the regional cookbooks (Church published, Womens's guild, you name it) Pet Peeves: To much junk at the grocery stores promoted as good food. Can we say high fructose corn syrup? When did cookies for breakfast become OK? I worked in the printing trade for 20+ years, but I get to stay home with the kids now. I love it when someone comes in my front door and says"What smells so good?" Especially my husband! Life is short. Eat well, together!
