I LOVE FOOD...My husband is of Italian heritage and I am of Vietnamese/chinese heritage so we get to eat a really good mix of dishes.... In Sydney we are live close to pockets of ethnic suburbs where there are lots of good restaurants and grocery stores for ethnic ingredients. i go through phases of trying to cook different categories of food eg: japanese, jams, baking etc. But I love to cook all round. We get to eat a great range of food at home so we rarely go out anymore (great on the hip pocket).... We have a gorgeous two year old son (we nicknamed him LDL, as they are his initials) who is the absolute love and joy of our lives. Like his parents, he is quite adventurous with food, learning to eat noodles and lamb cutlets at about 8 months old. He now enjoys pasta, noodles, rice, yakitori chicken sticks, lamb cutlets and anything with chocolate (which we have to curb severely because he is like addicted!!!) AND ofcourse, being new to Zaar, I am completely hooked and finding loads of recipes to try out (and saving hubby money, no longer buying cook books, LOL). One of these days , I may post a recipe on Zaar but at the moment happy to try out the popular recipes on Zaar. Oh by the way the photo is of me, in our hotel room on our holiday to Malaysia (KL and Penang) eating the ubiqitous DURIAN fruit. The king of fruit, and the smell and taste absolutely not for the faint hearted, But growing up on stuff like this, I just LOVE IT.
