Neurological Psychologist with a bent for chemistry that makes cooking with me fun, surprising and sometimes dangerous! I love organic gardening, Japanese gardening and Dachshunds. I was born, grew up and still live inside the US Capital Beltway and still love it. My life has been filled with many internationally born friends who have strongly influenced my southern/ West Virginia style cooking. Many of my recipes come from my grandparents' restaurant, The Tiptoe Inn, once located in Charleston, West Virginia.
