Hi there! I am 35 years old and living in Toronto. I absolutely love to cook and have loved to cook since I was a little girl. I remember so clearly reading cookbooks for fun when I was in primary school...I still love to cook. In fact I love anything food related! I love to grocery shop, review recipes, watch the Food Network, talk about food, prepare food and of course, EAT. Last year I took my first cooking course. It was at George Brown College in Toronto and it was a 12 week program. It absolutely opened my eyes to incorporating a lot more variety into my diet. I also learned that I would much rather eat a smaller portion of something with a little cream and butter that is homemade, than eat fast food. I also have limited interest in low-fat food unless it tastes like 'the real deal.' Quantity is not the issue for me, quality is. Since the cooking course, I have taken an Anthropolgy of Food course and a Cheese Appreciation course. I would love to take a cooking class at the Cordon Bleu in Paris (or much less appealing but still a possibility, Ottawa) or a course at the Culinary Institure of America (CIA) in Upper New York.
