I'm looking for HEALTHY recipes (not junky food full of white flour and sugar) along with their nutritional information. I've recently lost 90 lbs (in less than one year) without exercise, when I stopped eating most processed foods. Did you know that you can reverse a lot of diseases by cutting out animal-based foods? That is a FACT. When I decided to stop committing slow suicide with my food, I was on a shoebox full of meds. I suffer from FM/CFS, degenerative disc disease in my lower back & neck and high blood pressure. Now, 90 pounds leaner, I take two drugs a day ...sometimes three when I'm in a great deal of pain. I've lowered my BP from 140/90 to 95/68. I went from two BP meds a day to 1/2 dosage of one drug and I hope to get off of that soon. I have to take my meds for my FM/CFS, as I have a great deal of pain, but have managed to cut my dosage in half ! EAT FRESH, NATURAL FOODS whenever possible, and for God's sake, READ the labels (and understand what you're reading). KNOW WHAT YOU'RE EATING. The food industry is not out to provide you with healthy foods, they are out to make $$$$$. THAT is their goal. They will try to fool you with hiding bad ingredients with other words on their lables because they realize that some of us are 'on to them'. For instance, HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) is one of the worst foods you can put in your body. When consumed, it tells your stomach that you are still hungry, even if you are full. They want to eat more (this is why your kids say they're still hungry and why you want to supersize that disgusting McDonald's food that has HFCS even in it's MEAT). They have relabeled it as crystalline fructose or corn sugar. IT IS HARMFUL. The Corn Refiners Association is paying for ads on your tv that tell you sugar is sugar. IT IS NOT. They are wealthy and want to continue to be wealthy. MSG has been relabeled w/many different names: glutamate acid, calcium glutamate, textured protein, etc. See it here: www.truthinlabeling.org Great information in these documentaries about food: Food Matters Forks Over Knives Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead Food, Inc. You can get these from NetFlix.com and your local library (they can reserve dvd's for you and ship them in from other libraries). I will try to provide as much nutritional information that I can with any recipes I provide.
