I am a late fifties husband and all-around home cook who has gradually gravitated toward more healthful cooking. I am a great advocate of pressure cooking as a great way to enjoy fast and healthful meals. I adapt many of my old recipes to the pressure cooker. Also, this year, have done canning for the first time. I have a nice garden and hope to be able to can my produce in 2005. I have access to a Granny Smith apple tree which has filled my larder in the Fall of 2004 as well. I have gone to cooking school for two years and worked in a restaurant in Berkeley California. My wife is a WeightWatcher and is as slim as on our wedding day.
