@The Reality Gourmet
A transplanted Maine-iac, I have lived in Missouri's beautiful Ozarks about 14 years. I've always enjoyed what I call "creative cooking," but never thought I cared much for day-to-day cooking. I DO, however, have tons of recipes! It must be genetic, since my mother also collected recipes...but she used them!! I retired Aug. 04, and am surprised to discover I actually DO have more of an interest than I thought! I'm divorced, have no family here, so my friends are my guinea pigs!! I chose my handle because recently, when cooking for a friend, I jokingly told her I should have a reality cooking show. For example: In opening a can of blueberry pie filling with a pull tab, the contents splattered all over me, eliciting a few expletives.....same thing when I discovered I had to stiffly beat the egg whites!! ...and so it goes with "The Reality Gourmet!"
