@Mrs Gingerbread
I am happily married, have a son who is now married, 3 kitty kids and I am blessed with an awesome family and great friends. My favorite cookbooks are the ones that come from a group put together as a fund raiser. Folks usually put their best in there and I don't think I've ever been disappointed. I love to mess around in the kitchen and baking is my favorite. I love to make dishes for holidays, entertaining and when I can find one that pleases my "plain jane" husband, it's a big score! I also love to do various crafts and scrapbook. My latest favorite endeavor is making scrapbook recipe books to give as gifts. I was born and raised in West Virginia, so I'm a country girl by nature and I like the simple things in life. My biggest pet peeve on this type of website is that person who reviews and says something was terrible when 99% of the others who have reviewed it say it was awesome. I always wonder what they left off or did wrong, If you're going to try something, make it 2 times, 3 is even better if you want it to work out. You may even have to tweak it. Also, the other reviewer that bothers me is the one who says something was entirely too sweet or too rich when I take one look at the ingredients and wondered if they've ever turned on the oven. The ingredients will give you a big clue as to the finished product. If everything is fattening or there is a lot of sugar, my guess is, it's gonna be sweet. Anyway, guess I believe what Thumper's mom and my Mom said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all." LIVE WELL, LAUGH OFTEN AND LOVE MUCH!
