@Chef Lynzi
I am a retired nurse who has become a housewife. I am married to a rancher who is a retired fireman. We live in a small town in the high desert area of West TX. We have three grown children, with one in our area. We also have three grandchildren, ages five and under. They are a joyful handful! They ar: Mason, Julie and Arlie. We have a VERY spoiled five month old Pomeranian puppy, Lola. She entertains us constantly! I enjoy baking, tring new flavors and enjoy making Mexican, Italian, Greek, German and Seafood dishes. I am "famous" for my fruit cobblers, cakes, pies and beef tenderloin, as well as other beef dishes. I also make a pretty darn good Chicken Kiev. I am always interested in new recipes and different combinations of seasonings. I enjoy reading, painting, fishing, collecting wine, gardening, swimming, travel, decorating and playing bridge, Bunko and Scrabble.I have an enormous collection of cookbooks. My favorite cook book is one I found quite a few years ago that I have destroyed the plastic binder on and had to repair. It is the Cotton Country Collection.It was compiled by the Jr. Charity League of Monroe, Louisiana. I am a judge in the foods division at the local fair each year. Also, I have tooooo many beautiful cooking magazines. I need to find a way to do something useful with them... ANY suggestions??? My husband and I play a game of Scrabble at least twice a week. We have a friendly and on-going competition! We have a lot of fun! I enjoy getting together with my girlfriends and sharing a nice bottle of wine and some tasty food, and laughing way too much!!! My pet peeve? Well, I have a few. Mostly I am peeved by rudeness; especially by anyone who treats children disrespectfully. Children learn what they live and if they are not respected they will not learn respect for themselves or others. Usually I check my mail about every two to three days, so if I am slow getting back to you, please understand. Thanks.
