"This is a very simple recipe and really good. I got this from my brother who is a fabulous cook. This is really good topped with a dollup of whipped cream or ice cream."

  1. My neighbors gave me a lot of tangerines, and I picked this recipe to get rid of some. YUM! I took the pie to the same neighbors for New Years, and we all thought it rated five stars. Any kind of topping would be overkill.

  2. I don't know if I did something wrong or if the instructions just weren't detailed enough but I thought it tasted awful. All I could taste was the egg. The recipe called for 4 large eggs but I only had Jumbo, so I used 3. Maybe I should have used 2. Also, there was no picture or description of the finished product so I didn't know what it was supposed to look like when done, but mine looked very dark brown. I'm glad I tasted it before anyone else.

  3. WOW!!! This pie was sooo wonderful!! We just loved it. It was the hit of our Thanksgiving dinner, behind the turkey of course. And it was oh so simple. We made homemede whip cream to top the pie and it was Delicous!!!Thanks for posting!!!

I'm 41y/o wife and mother of 2. I've been a nurse for 20 years. We live in a small town in Arkansas. My passion is cooking. I love to cook anything and everything. Luckily my family is adventerous in their eating habits, so I have lots of fun trying new things out on them. I also like camping, traveling, gardening, water sports and collecting recipes. I like getting to know other people from other parts of the world. We have 5 pets, 2 dogs and 3 ferrets. My worst pet peeve is when people stick their nose up at a dish before trying it, because they know a certain ingredient is in it. I know everyone has different tastes, but picky eaters just don't know what they are missing when they turn down a dish they havent even tried.
