Sweet Apple Bites

ingredients
- 4 -6 medium granny smith apples
- 2 cups water
- 1⁄2 - 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
- 1⁄3 teaspoon cinnamon
directions
- Peel, core and slice the apples into bite size pieces.
- Mix ingredients into 2 qt saucepan and heat over medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or untlil tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Store in refrigerator; best served warm with icecream/CoolWhip.

Well, when I made this recipe, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to peel & core the apples but considering that they're supposed to be 'bites' I did so, then sliced the apples & chopped the slices into quarters (bite-size pieces)! Interesting sweet treat, & it's as good with some frozen yogurt as it is spread over a piece of thick whole wheat bread! [Tagged, made & reviewed in New Kids on the Block tag]
