Maple Syrup Substitute

- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1⁄4 cup corn syrup
- 3⁄4 teaspoon maple extract
- 1⁄4 teaspoon butter flavor extract
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
directions
- In a saucepan, combine sugars, water and corn syrup. Place over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in extracts. Transfer to a glass jar and store in refrigerator. Reheat before using.
