Grandma Prater's Sausage Biscuit Gravy

  • dripping, from cooked sausage
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 12 cup milk
  • salt and pepper

directions

  • mix in flour with drippings.
  • cook on medium heat until it appears to almost be burning. make sure its not clumpy.
  • quickly whisk in milk.
  • turn heat off.
  • keep on burner and whisk until thickened.
  • add salt and pepper.
  • serve over biscuits and enjoy!

  1. Good but did not make a lot of gravy... and it is a little bland. A good quick option when in a hurry.
     
  2. Made for a late breakfast today. I followed recipe and ended up with a very tasty gravy. Served it over some buttermilk biscuits. Thanks for the great recipe and I will be making these again. Made for Spring PAC 2009.
