When the world’s most beloved mouse hosts his birthday party this year, he’ll be celebrated with one of America’s most iconic cookies.
Disney is partnering with the Oreo brand to create a custom series of limited-edition birthday cake-flavored cookies for this year’s 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse.
The cookies, which sadly do not have Mickey Mouse ears, are instead stamped with three cartoon designs, including an old design of Mickey Mouse himself, a “90” in honor of the character’s age and a party horn. The cookie filling is birthday cake-flavored, all the way down to the little rainbow sprinkles.
Mickey has been around since his first appearance in the cartoon Steamboat Willie in 1928. It was the first cartoon to ever feature synchronized audio, which captivated audiences at the time.
The limited-edition Oreos will hit shelves on September 24th at select retailers, and will be available until supply dries up.
Not a fan of birthday cake and rainbow flavors? Hot chicken wing and wasabi Oreos might be more your speed.
