Blue Ivy Makes Mama Beyoncé Hold Her Juice Box

Who’s giving orders to whom, anyway?

Whether at home on the couch watching Sesame Street or in the front row at the Grammys, if a girl’s gotta eat, she’s darn well gotta eat.

In the latest example of the fact that celebrities are people too, six-year-old Blue Ivy Carter silenced her mummy and daddy for the photographers while sitting front and center at the annual music awards show, before making mummy hold her juicebox.

This would, of course, be a non-event in any other circumstance. But Blue Ivy’s mummy just happens to be Queen Beyoncé, and her daddy is Jay-Z, the self-proclaimed God of Rap (#humble), so her courageous, audacious actions are all the more notable.

Having gotten a bit peckish during the Grammys—which lasted over 3 hours, to be fair—Blue Ivy needed her snacks. And, obviously, when you eat snacks, you need something to wash them down with. So, while she chowed down, she made Beyoncé hold her juice box, because a girl’s only got so many hands. OH SNAP.

The above photo—absolutely iconic—has been circulating like wildfire since it was taken on Sunday, as people look in awe at the child’s audacity and baller status. The internet has, to borrow the vernacular of the hip American youth, officially been broken.

We’ll let you know when it gets fixed.
