THE Easiest Pizza Crust
Ready In: 25 mins
Serves: 2-4
Yields: 1 crust
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 2⁄3 cup water (110 degrees F)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- In medium bowl using regular beaters (not dough hooks), blend all ingredients on low speed.
- Beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
- (If mixer bounces around bowl, dough is too stiff. Add water if necessary, one tablespoon at a time, until dough does not resist beaters. If dough is too wet, add more flour.) Dough will resemble soft bread dough.
- Put mixture on a floured 12-inch pizza pan or cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle flour on dough, then press dough onto pan, continuing to sprinkle with flour to prevent sticking to hands.
- Make edges slightly thicker to hold toppings.
- Bake pizza crust for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, then reduce heat to 400 degrees F.
- Spread pizza crust with your favorite sauce and toppings, and lightly scrape the bottom if it's stuck to the pan in places.
- Bake another 10 to 15 minutes or until top is nicely browned.
