Tangy Broccoli Slaw Salad

Serves: 3

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) bag broccoli slaw mix
  • 12 cup  cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 12 cup red onion (chopped)
  • 12 cup raisins or 12 cup craisins
  • 2  tablespoons  balsamic vinegar or 2  tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 34 cup  plain lifeway  kefir
  • 2  teaspoons  chili pepper flakes
  • 12 teaspoon turmeric (optional) or 12 teaspoon curry powder (optional)
  •  salt & freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Place broccoli slaw in mixing bowl.
  2. Add kefir and vinegar, mix well.
  3. Add chili pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and turmeric/curry powder and mix again.
  4. Add in the remaining ingredients (raisins, bacon, onion), mix and chill in fridge until ready to serve.
  5. Also great to add into wraps.
