Southern Green Beans

My sister in law from Georgia cooks these at holiday gatherings. Not sure on cook time, just cook until tender.

• Serves: 10-12

Ingredients

• 2 -3  lbs fresh green beans
• 1  yellow onion
•  beef bouillon granules
• 1 -2  tablespoon  oil
•  water

Directions

1. After washing green beans place in a large stockpot and cover with water.
2. Slice ends off onion, place whole onion in pot with beans.
3. Add 4-6 tbsp (this is a guesstimate, I just do it to taste until water is brown color) of granules and oil.
4. Boil beans and cook down water.
5. Continue to add water and cook down until beans are tender.
6. Remove onion before serving.
