Sesame Stir-Fried Veggies

This is simple stir fry recipe that adds flavor to the veggies by using some toasted sesame oil. Sesame oil has a strong flavor so be careful of using too much. Using half sesame and half vegetable will tone down the strong (but delicious in my opinion) flavor of the sesame oil. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1  tablespoon  vegetable oil
  • 1  tablespoon  toasted sesame oil (more or less to taste)
  • 12 cup  chopped onion
  • 1  cup broccoli floret
  • 1  cup  baby carrots (halved lengthwise)
  • 1  cup  baby corn
  • 1  garlic clove, minced (or teaspoon garlic paste)
  • 1  pinch salt
  •  soy sauce (to taste)
  •  sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Heat oil in pan over high heat.
  2. Saute onion until almost tender (2-3 minutes).
  3. Add broccoli, carrots, baby corn, salt and soy sauce, saute until veggies are tender (should be less than 5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat sprinkle a few sesame seeds for garnish.
