Poppy Seed Chicken

A creamy comfort food topped with Ritz crackers. We love it with rice and veggies. I got this recipe from a friend in South Carolina. Show more

Serves: 5-8

Ingredients

  • 4  chicken breasts
  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 1/2ounce) can  cream of chicken soup
  • 18 cup poppy seed
  • 18 cup sour cream
  • 1  teaspoon  onion salt
  • 1 (3 1/2ounce) package  Ritz crackers

Directions

  1. boil chicken until cooked all the way through.
  2. cut up in bite sized pieces.
  3. place in 9x13 baking dish.
  4. season with onion salt and any other spices you like.
  5. add remaining ingredients except for Ritz and stir.
  6. crush Ritz and sprinkle across the top.
  7. If you prefer you can soak Ritz in butter, this will make it really yummy, but if I want to cut the fat I do it without the butter.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 or until it bubbles and crackers are browning.
