Mountain Dew Pound Cake

This is actaully like my Grandmother's 7 Up pound cake but I replaced it with my Husband's addiction, Mountain dew Show more

Serves: 12

Yields: 1 cake

Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups butter
  • 3  cups flour
  • 3  cups sugar
  • 5  eggs
  • 1  cup  Mountain Dew soda, at room temperature
  • 1  teaspoon  lemon extract
  • 1  teaspoon  almond extract
  • 12 cup lemon zest

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour bundt pan.
  3. . Cream butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time until blended.
  5. Alternately add flour with the Mountain dew, ending with flour. Add the extracts and zest and mix thoroughly.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. . Bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  8. , or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
