Maggie's Creamy Fudge

Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups sugar
- 12 ounces evaporated milk
- 20 large marshmallows
- 2 cups chopped nuts
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl put 1 cup butter, cut into small pieces; 12 oz. chocolate chips; and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Set aside.
- In a dutch oven or other large pot (with a thick bottom) put 4 cups sugar, a 12 oz. can of evaporated milk, and 20 large marshmallows.
- Bring mixture to a good boil over medium heat, stirring nonstop.
- Reduce heat to low and cook seven minutes, again stirring nonstop.
- Pour the hot mixture over the chocolate chips and beat with an electric mixer until the fudge is thick and dull in color (not shiny).
- Stir in 2 cups chopped nuts and pour into a buttered 9" x 13" (one-layer cake pan) dish.
- Place in the fridge until firm.
